Industrial energy-efficiency grant programme (2026–2027) Added by EkoPulseOn 19 May 2026, the Basque Government opened a grant programme for energy-efficiency investments and emissions reductions in industrial processes, with a budget of 52 million euros, including 26 million from IDAE. The programme provides for grants of between 15% and 30% of the investment, up to a maximum of 4 million euros per project and industrial group, with applications open until 30 June 2027 or until the funds are exhausted. The administration estimates that it could support around 200 projects, mobilise more than 195 million euros in investment and save 830 GWh annually—4.2% of Basque industrial energy consumption. Bilbao Metro Line 4: information study approved and construction projects in preparation Added by EkoPulseThe Department of Sustainable Mobility approved the information study for the future Line 4 of the Bilbao metro after obtaining the environmental impact declaration. The Basque Government and Euskal Trenbide Sarea were preparing the construction designs; the announcement set the goal of being able to start works at the end of 2027.
